The OPAVA, working out of Malacanang, was able to help a substantial number of vet claimants get their full and complete arrears payments released to them by the PVAO in 2007. Most claimants assisted by OPAVA Malacanang came from Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, NCR and parts of Region 4 nearest to Metro Manila.

In 2008, with hoped-for budgets to be furnished by Malacanang, the OPAVA hopes to be able to open up a second assistance office to service Southern Tagalog And Southern Luzon/Bicol claimants. The year 2008 is the deadline target of PGMA to fully pay off all pending national government arrears in old-age pensions, death pensions and educational benefits to all veterans, leaving only the administrative disability pensions that have accumulated since 1994 (due to lack of appropriation of budgets from Congress) to find solutions for.
